JWMS 2019 Fall Sports Schedule Link

Dear Parents & Prospective Boys Soccer Players: 

As coaches, we are very optimistic about the number of boys who are interested in representing JWMS on the boys soccer team. 

Weather permitting, will be conducting boys soccer tryouts from Tuesday, 9/10 through Friday, 9/13.  In order to try out, prospective players must complete the following requirements: 

• Sign up through the JWMS Athletics Website as soon as possible*;  

• Submit all physical paperwork as soon as possible and ask parent/guardian to check their email for the player’s medical clearance status*;

• Come to tryouts with cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle.*

Players will all be evaluated on the following skills and abilities:

Although our preference would be to keep everyone, before players go home at the end of the final tryout, we will personally and privately inform each athlete whether or not he has made the team.  An email will also be sent home after the tryout period concludes. We will try to keep as many players as we can for the two teams, but the more people we keep, the more difficult it is for us to be competitive in games while ensuring playing time.  

Before coming to tryouts, players should please be absolutely sure that they have submitted all the necessary paperwork, and that they have cleats, shin guards and soccer socks that cover their shin guards. Tryouts end at 4:30, so athletes should please arrange a way to get home before that time.  We appreciate all of the interest in the program, and we are really looking forward to building skills and character on the field.

*All athletes will be given a tryout once they have been cleared by the nurse and are properly equipped. If a player is in need of equipment or a physical, please contact coaches McEvoy & Hennessy before tryouts begin. Their email addresses are listed above.
