Welcome to the Fall Girls’ Soccer Season. We are Amy Wargo, JW’s Health Teacher and Kelly Riely, JW’s Technology Teacher. We look forward to meeting you during this season.
In order to try out, all players must take the IMPACT test, be medically cleared by the school nurse, Ms. Bihuniak, have signed the Sports-Related Concussion form, and filled out all of the proper paperwork. Please see the JW Athletics webpage to find all of the paperwork needed.
Soccer practices will begin at 3:05 and end at 4:30. Please see the attached schedule for our practice and game times as well as locations. The only equipment required are shin guards for soccer. Please make sure they are age and size appropriate. Our home practices and games will be played on our fields at JW. Information concerning games, practices, etc., can be accessed at JWMS website under JWMS Athletics website.
We want your child to have a very positive experience in a safe and fun environment, while developing her fitness level through the various soccer drills. As this is a middle school environment, we will tailor our workouts for age and skill appropriateness. We realize that the girls will be at different skill levels, we would like to remain competitive as we develop our less experienced players. Please understand that playing time will not always be equal, but we will do our best to get everyone playing time. We have dedicated Friday practices to be developmental from 3-4 this year. This allows our travel soccer players to go to their weekend events and let us focus on developing skills for our more novice players.
