PMS Girls Basketball
Girls' basketball team had a fantastic season. The B team won over half their games and lost several close games. The A team struggled in the beginning of the season, however, began closing the point gap each game. The overall skill and team comradery grew stronger each week. Our players showed 100% participation, never quitting and actually pushing for more practices. We practiced before school several times, watched film, had a rally parties, provided play books, and enjoyed weekly emails with parents and players breaking down each week. We are very proud of each player and look forward to continuing to build skill and develop players into strong basketball athletes with good IQ.

PMS Boys Basketball
The Princeton Middle School Boys’ Basketball Team had a successful season under coaches Justin Mathews and Jason Carter. The team finished 17-3 with wins over Lawrence, Timberlane, Fisher, Thomas Grover, Stonebridge, Cranbury, Pond Road, Kreps, Community, and PDS. The team was led by eighth graders Maheeb Akhter, Jaxon Carter, Jasper Clayton, Zander Cox, Quinton deFaria, Quentin McCann, Raymond McLaughlin, Bram Reynolds, and Ryan Tague. The top scorer for the team was Bram Reynolds with 252 points on the season. Bram was able to score from almost everywhere on the court and had his season high in the win against Fisher Middle School. Jaxon Carter was the second leading scorer with 181 points for the season. The team relied on his ball handling skills and basketball IQ to lead the team in offense and defense. Quentin McCann finished his third year with PMS basketball and he was a consistent finisher under the basket. He ended the season with 127 points. Jasper Clayton and Ben Huh were the two other players to finish with more than 100 points. Jasper had 108 points with some impressive outside shots and drives to the basket. Ben Huh earned his crowd created nickname of ‘Big Ben’ with 117 points coming mostly from his aggressive play in the paint. The highlight of the season was the 63-39 win against Fisher Middle School. PMS led the entire game and was able to defend our home court against one of our biggest rivals. That will be a win to remember for many years to come. We are very proud of the accomplishments of the boys and we look forward to more success next year. Good luck to our 8th graders as they prepare to enter PHS.
