Tryouts and Equipment Information
Tryout Information:
- Every student will be given 3 days to tryout for different events.
- Trying out for more events and being open to trying new events will increase odds of making the team.
- Trying out for only 1 event will decrease odds of making the team.
- Making cuts vary from season to season, depending on how many students tryout.
- There will be time trials for the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1600m.
- Coaches will instruct and teach students how to jump and throw, and will be given a trial period since these events are more unfamiliar to students.
- These events include discus, shotput, high jump, long jump, and hurdles.
Equipment Needed:
- Workout Clothes (multiple layers)
- Black Shorts (Uniform Singlet is provided)
- Running Shoes
- Water Bottle
